I was going to talk about falling over...

but Kathrya has it covered, although she did miss the one where I fell off of my own chair during math.

In that case, I'll have to use an alternate story.

One fundamentally awkward aspect of the school bathrooms is the presence of those little communal tampon bins, particularly in the cases where the bins were removed from the door and instead sit between the stalls, displaying their bloody contents to the world.

Now, I don't know about you, but I don't really want the acquaintance in the next stall over seeing the evidence of my menstrual cycle as it seeps through the toilet paper I wrapped my tampon up in. It's a private, personal part of being a woman. And I'm proud of my vagina and all that jazz, but I still think the blood is gross, and I generally avoid announcing the current state of my bits to the world, this blog and Nyx aside.

However, today, as I was swapping my own feminine hygiene products, Becky (an extremely petite senior in my physics and government classes) dropped an applicator into the bin. My first thought was "How odd, I thought seniors were post-menstrual and didn't get their periods."

the worst is if there's bloodstains on the bins. makes me really glad i'm not a janitor...especially because people miss the little brown paper bags inside ALL THE TIME (guilty. but really, who would want to fish it out and correct the mistake?!?!)

and if the post-menstrual thing is true, we had better get moving on the guy front, tea!!! (haha, not really. boys suck at this age...to which you well know i can attest.)

how long do you give it until Mandeep reminds us that Tybalt doesn't suck? (because that's what she tells me whenever I go "there are NO BOYS in this world worth talking to!")

No, no, Tybalt sucks. I mean, he's worth TALKING to, but on the dating front he sucks. That boy misses soooooo much haahaha

And I agree its so nasty. Once, back at that High School From Whence I Came someone put a bloody tampon in someone else's locker. G-roooooooooss.

um, this is just a gross conversation in general. I remember when I was at camp and the dorms were single-sex for the camp, but coed for the college, so I was in the men's room a lot of the time and there WEREN'T any of those bins. needless to say it was an irritating experience.

and to the second...yes, I know. I've already given up on our grade. on to the seniors... however, there are a FEW boys in our grade worth talking to (but not dating, nooooo)

Tybalt and I had an epic duel in capture the flag yesterday. I thought you guys would appreciate.

While I do appreciate the existence of said duel, I would be more appreciative of a detailed description and play-by-play.

I'm pretty much totally positive I'm with Tea on this one. :) Do share!

All right, guys. We were on opposite teams, as you could have surmised. It was actually capture the ball, I forgot that part. I ran to get a ball while everyone was distracted, probably by Sonny or somebody, and actually managed to get a hold of it. I made a mad dash to the other side of the fieldhouse, then Tybalt got me in his radar and bolted. We sprinted across the entire gym (not in the right direction at all) and he finally caught me. The rest of the class I kind of gave him the knowing smirk, like "IT'S ON!" Oh God, he probably thinks I'm a creeper.

okay, fine. i know four guys who are nice...but only one of them is datable. and he doesn't count because he's not our age.
